Ambassadors Scheme

Our ambassadors scheme aims to provide tailored workshops and lectures to local high schools where extra support with raising aspirations to study medicine is needed. The scheme involves 2 or 3 medical students from the University of Leeds being paired with one high school, and our students can discuss with you directly any specific requirements you may have.

We aim for our ambassadors to visit their schools once per term, and they can deliver a number of different sessions, be it dispelling myths about medical school, advice about the applications process, communication skills workshops or ethics discussions.

We do ask that after each session you ensure that your students and if possible any staff members present for the sessions fill out our feedback forms, so that we can continue to improve our scheme and can be confident that we are delivering useful information.
