LMEA Medicine Summer School 2019(non-residential)
Date : Monday 22nd July to Friday 26th July 2019 inclusive (you must be available to attend every day)
(Please do not apply if you are attending a Summer School e.g. Reach for Excellence, Sutton Trust etc)
Time : 9.30am – 4.30pm each day
Venue : Worsley Building, University of Leeds
The Leeds School of Medicine Summer School is delivered by current medical students. Each day focuses on a topic ranging from paediatrics, primary care and public health, to basic life support, acute medicine, cancer care and end of life decisions. The diverse and important range of subjects are taught using case discussions and actively involves students through task based learning. Key aims of the event are to develop transferable skills such as self-directed learning, presentation skills and to also provide information to enable students to make an informed decision about whether or not to pursue a career in medicine.
